Okay boys and girls! This is the dawn of the new day. :-) I have embarked upon new application that will revolutionize mobile production from this point until the end the time. The name of this app is "beatmaker 2" by a company called Intua. This is -the- most sought-after mobile application for your iPod or iPhone. "Why is this the most sought-after application?" you might ask... This particular application will sample, add effects, track music out, has onboard mobile keyboards, midi import and export, mobile tracking, sequencer, step recorder, 16 touch sensitive pads that are totally customizable when initiating panning, volume, and efx. I'm not going to speak much more. If you are a serious producer and you're on the go alot like myself, this is ideal app for you. This will be my absolute next iTunes app store purchase, bottom line.
P.S. It will never be supported by the Android platform.
Peace.

Quincy Jones:"It's all about the sound."
Hey. It's been a minute since my last journal entry. I always let a little time pass before I do a new blog entry. I am so excited! I just got my new Musician's Friend magazine in the mail and guess who's on the cover? None other than Quincy Jones himself. I've been waiting on these new headphones for at least six months. I went on the AKG website last June to inquire about the headphones and I signed up for a newsletter to receive pricing and information on when the headphones would be available. I see that they are released, priced, and hot off the presses. These headphones look so sweet! I mean, I can do some serious damage with these. Being a big proponent of preproduction in the home studio, I truly believe in a great, no grand pair of serious headphones. I believe that if you have a great pair of headphones, you really don't need to spend a whole bunch of money on monitors. Now, I may be crucified by some other producers in the industry that do use monitors, but I believe that I achieve a great sound with my current pair of AKGs. These particular pair of headphones that Quincy Jones just released with AKG have a baseline price of $99.00 for the earbudse & the most sought after pair are $399.00 with a few other pair in-between through Musician's Friend. If you can find them cheaper than that then give me a holla'. Well, that's all for this blog. I'll catch you on the flipside Peace!

snowed in
What up. It's me again. Another blog chronicling my production and musical journey. It's crazy out here in Chicago right now! We got close to 30 inches of snow last night and this morning. Although it's freezing outside, it's warm and toasty on the inside of my crib and I'm doing some video editing. It has been a very long time since I first started living this dream of becoming an MC and a producer. 1992 to be exact, was the first year that I wrote my first rhyme. Now it's 2011 and I've gotten quite a bit accomplished. So, I must continue with the forward movement of my career. I was googling a few producers that I love such as J. Dilla and TrackMasters. When I listen to their music. It really speaks to my soul. I love sound. There is something about a nice groove within a drum track, baseline, & sample that just moves me... Anyway, I can't let this snow stop my grind... Peace.
