Ha. The title of this blog automatically points to paperwork, protocol, regulations & fees. Some producers five beats away. I've seen internet producers sell/license their tracks for as little as 2.99. Charting producers get $7,000.00+ before sampling gets cleared. There are no rules. I think most producers like it that way because there's no salary cap on what a producer can make in a year. It's entrepreneurialism at its finest. I'm convinced that most producers that market themselves properly would reject a union. They're scoff & newer producers would jump at the chance to get some type of affiliation. Just a thought.
